How Long Can An Anorexic Person Live

turning points ...

Surely the history books will mark the beginning of the Space Age with the rise of Gagarin into orbit, but just as surely what happened today will mark the beginning of maturity if not at least adolescence of this phase of human development.

And today 20 years starting in the abandonment of Afghanistan by Soviet troops. It was a "great" victory for the CIA and the feather that broke the camel's back a communist.
But probably, this is one of those victories that Washington would prefer never to have had ...
Mind you, the "source of evil" was surely the Soviet intervention in support of a military regime. But the fruits have been bitter for everyone, and especially to the Afghans themselves. What remains is a Islamism that made the war his "battle formation", a wound not yet healed in Russian society, 30 years of suffering in Afghanistan, a reliable source for the drug trade, and now nine-year war which NATO does not seem know how to extricate themselves.
No, it was not good for anyone ...
